Helpful Instant Pot Cooking Tips

Plan for the full cooking process. The programmed pressure-cooking time does not include the time needed to build pressure or release it afterward.

Scale recipes carefully. Many recipes can be doubled without doubling the pressure-cooking time. Follow recipe-specific instructions, maintain the appropriate liquid ratio, and stay within your cooker’s fill limits.

Use the right cooking method. Pressure cooking works well for moist, tender dishes. Foods that need a crisp exterior may require a finishing step or another appliance. Make sure you master the difference between Natural Pressure Release vs. Quick Pressure Release
