This low carb pizza is a delicious low carb meal. With a cauliflower crust, melted mozzarella cheese, and your favorite pizza toppings, it is the perfect choice for your next movie and pizza night.
Why you want homemade Keto Pizza
Commercial cauliflower crust pizzas start out with a lot of promise--or rather promises. You see cauliflower crust and you assume low carb pizza!
You would be wrong.
If you are buying pizza with cauliflower crust, I urge you to be careful and read labels. Many of those will not fit into your low carb macros at all. Many also have wheat and are absolutely NOT gluten-free.
Similarly, while there are a lot of keto pizzas using fathead dough, sometimes I just like to sneak some vegetables into a pizza crust. Also, it's delicious so win-win!
Similarly, there's often a lot of sugar in the pizza sauce they use. So I actually created a quick, no-cook, low carb pizza sauce for you as well. You can whip this up while the crust is cooking.
This keto pizza recipe is always a crowd-pleaser. It is cheesy, full of flavor, and will satisfy all of your pizza cravings.
Are Pizza Toppings Low Carb?
Some pizza toppings can be higher in carbs than others. So before you think about loading down your homemade low carb pizza with all of the toppings, remember that they're not all created equally. You'll want to avoid toppings like pineapple, BBQ Sauce, or an excess of sliced tomatoes.
The toppings I decided to put on my perfect pizza are all keto-friendly. So feel free to follow my lead. It starts with a keto pizza crust made of cauliflower, cheese, and seasonings. Then that low carb pizza crust is topped with:
- Melted cheese
- Rich keto tomato sauce
- Salami or sausage
- Peppers
- And any other toppings you like!
Forget takeout or delivery—and unwanted carbs. You’ll love this easy keto pizza.
How to Make Keto Pizza
Step 1: Put eggs in a food processor bowl.
Step 2: Add the remaining crust ingredients. Add the cauliflower, garlic, pepper, Italian seasoning, salt, and shredded cheese.
Step 3: Process the crust ingredients until well combined.
Step 4: Spread the crust mixture out in the baking pan. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and pat it out into an even, ½-inch-thick layer.
Step 5: Bake for 40 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 6: Spread sauce and toppings on the crust. Remove the crust from the oven and add your toppings: low carb Pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, sausage or salami, onion, and peppers.
Step 7: Bake for 7 to 10 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips and Tricks for Making the Best Low Carb Pizza Ever
- If you grease the base of your pan before you add the baking parchment it will help the parchment stay in place.
- You may need to remove the lid from the food processor and push the contents down a little to get everything to blend well.
- The mix for the base may look too liquid. DO NOT WORRY! As the cheese melts it will firm up and create a solid base.
- Run a knife down the sides of the pan when it comes out of the oven, this will prevent the cheese from sticking as it cools.
- Do not try and remove the pizza from the pan immediately. Letting it cool for 5 or even 10 minutes allows the cheese to firm up a little. This makes the pizza easier to cut.
- To save leftovers, cut into ideal portion sizes and refrigerate in an airtight box with baking parchment between the slices.
Can You Make This Low Carb Pizza Vegetarian?
If you want to skip the meat, you can swap plant-based sausage crumbles for the salami or sausage, or just leave the meat out to make a keto vegetarian pizza.
Is This Keto Cauliflower Pizza Gluten Free?
Yes, it is. This keto cauliflower pizza crust is made without grains, so you know it is gluten-free as well! You don't have to miss out on pizza night because of a gluten allergy.
Can You Make It Ahead of Time and Refrigerate or Freeze It?
The keto cauliflower pizza crust can be made in advance. Cook it through step 5 and let it cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, wrap the crust well in plastic wrap. Store it in the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
What Do You Serve With Low Carb Pizza?
- I like to serve it with a crisp, refreshing green salad dressed with Keto Mustard Salad Dressing.
- Antipasto Salad with Pesto Vinaigrette is a hearty salad loaded with Italian flavor that goes perfectly with pizza.
- Red Onion and Orange Salad has the bright flavors of oranges and red onions as well as feta cheese, mint, and cilantro.
- Use this low carb pizza sauce for your pizza.

I see a lot of other cauliflower pizza crust recipes tell you to cook the cauliflower and then squeeze all the water out before adding it. Does this manage to come out as something you can hold onto without doing that because you bake it so long?
URVASHI PITRE
Yes it does indeed.
