What Makes This Pesto Chicken So Wonderful
This Basil Pesto Chicken is creamy, delicious, easy and low carb chicken bake. It's all the things I love about good recipes wrapped up in one super yummy dish.
From the creaminess of the basil pesto sauce to the wonderfully savory chicken, to the crisp bite of the veggies and the slight heat from the red pepper flakes, this dish really has everything going right for it.
So I decided to use my air fryer to bake this this Basil Pesto Chicken for multiple reasons.
- Juicy. It does a fantastic job of cooking the dish. The chicken comes about perfectly juicy and it gives the veggies a slight crisp as if they've been cooked under a broiler.
- Fast. It cuts down on the total cook time of the dish, meaning I don't have to wait too long to indulge in this delicious dish. No preheating required and less cook time means you can make this dish in about 25 minutes.
- Convenient. It's just so dang convenient! This little appliance does all the work of an oven, just faster and with less effort. And you know I'm all about making things easy.
Not only is this recipe tasty and quick to make, but it's completely keto-friendly as well.
This dish has only 7 carbs per serving, and trust me, it doesn't taste like a low carb dish at all. Not to mention it's high in protein as well.

Your conversion time and temp for cooking this in the oven is off. I baked it for 20 mins at 350 and it was still raw. I then put it on the stovetop and let it cook through in the skillet. Had to add more sauce.
