Prepare the Waffle Batter. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Combine the Wet and Dry Ingredients. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the waffles light and fluffy. A few small lumps in the batter are okay.
Preheat the Waffle Iron. Heat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions and lightly grease it with nonstick spray or melted butter.
