Puff pastry Fruit preserves Egg Powdered sugar Milk Vanilla extract

PREHEAT OVEN

Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

CUT THE PASTRY

Roll out both pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into 6 equal rectangles, for a total of 12.

ADD FILLING

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of jam or preserves onto the center of 6 rectangles. Leave a small border around the edges.

SEAL AND CRIMP

Brush the edges with beaten egg. Top each with another rectangle of pastry. Press the edges to seal, then crimp with a fork.

BRUSH AND BAKE

Place on the baking sheet and brush tops with the remaining egg wash. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

MAKE THE ICING

While pastries cool slightly, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
