INGREDIENTS

Butter- I prefer unsalted butter, as the parmesan cheese can be quite salty. Cream Cheese- Is the primary thickener for this alfredo sauce. It adds a little extra zing to the flavor as well. Heavy Cream- Makes the cream sauce extra creamy and perfectly pourable. Parmesan Cheese- Provides a saltiness to the keto alfredo sauce and helps to thicken it. Salt- Just a touch to taste. Pepper- Brings out the natural flavors of the parmesan cheese and nutmeg. Garlic- Diced finely so it doesn't overpower each bite. Nutmeg- Gives a warm, nutty flavor to your homemade alfredo sauce.

STEP 2

Once the butter has melted, add the heavy cream and turn the temperature down to low. Do not allow the cream to boil This can cause it to separate.

STEP 5

Remove the skillet from the heat and add parmesan cheese. The residual heat from the sauce base will help the parmesan melt. Stir until well incorporated and serve.
