– Whole Black Urad Dal – Chana Dal – Water – Kosher Salt – Turmeric – Ghee – Onion – Tomatoes – Minced Ginger – Garlic – Cumin Seeds – Cayenne Pepper

How To Make Instant Pot Langar Ki Dal

1. Combine the Urad and chana Dals with water, salt and turmeric, and cook on High for 30 minutes. 2. Heat a pan, and when that's hot, add the ghee. When the ghee is hot and shimmering, add the onion and sauté for 30 seconds. Add ginger and garlic and cook for 5 minutes. 3. Add tomato and spices and mix well. Add water and mix again.

4. Crush the tomatoes as they cook. Set aside until the dals are cooked. 5. Allow the pressure cooker to release pressure naturally for 10 minutes. 6. Using your spoon, crush the dals well to get a creamier texture, leaving some whole dal in the mix. 7. Pour in the tomato and onion mixture and mix well before serving.
