How to Make Instant Pot Lamb Biryani

1. Rinse the rice. This rinse will allow the rice to soften  and absorb some water. 2. In a bowl, pour all the ingredients for the marinade, with the lamb. 3. Let the lamb marinate for 30 minutes.  4. Turn your oven to broil. Line a baking pan with foil.

5. Thinly slice your onions. Lay on the foil pan, add salt and oil, and mix well. 6. Broil these onions for about 15 minutes.  7. In the inner liner of your instant pot, spread the marinated lamb, yogurt and spice mixture. 8. Carefully spread the rice all over the meat in a uniform layer.

9. Pour in the water and gently push down the rice until it's submerged. 10. Cook at High Pressure for 6 minutes and allow it to fully release pressure naturally.  11. Open and garnish with 1/2 cup chopped cilantro and the browned onions.
