Prepare the Chicken. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. Season with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
Coat the Chicken. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat it with a mixture of Italian breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
Cook the Chicken. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded chicken for 12-14 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Assemble the Sandwich. Toast the sandwich bread. Place a cooked chicken breast on the bottom slice. Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Place the top slice of bread over the cheese.
Serve. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
