Ingredients

Instructions
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add the thinly sliced or chopped beef to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned on all sides.
In a small bowl, mix together the ground cumin, chili powder, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Sprinkle the spice mixture over the beef and stir to combine.
Pour the beef broth and lime juice into the skillet and bring it to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top, if desired.
Serve the carne picada as a filling for tacos, burritos, or with rice and beans.
