Instructions
Prepare the Cucumbers
. Thinly slice the cucumbers and season them lightly with salt and pepper.
Prep the Bread
. Cut the crusts off the bread for a traditional look and softer texture.
Spread the Base
. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese or softened butter on each slice of bread.
Assemble the Sandwiches
. Arrange the cucumber slices on half of the bread slices. If desired, add herbs like dill or chives.
Top and Cut
