Cook the Sausage

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until it's browned and fully cooked. Make sure to break it up into crumbles as it cooks. Once done, drain any excess grease and set the cooked sausage aside.

Prepare the Creamy Base

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Mix them together until well blended and smooth. This will form the creamy base for the dip.

Add the Rotel Tomatoes and Sausage

Add the drained Rotel tomatoes and green chilies to the cream cheese mixture. Then, fold in the cooked sausage until everything is evenly combined. The zesty tomatoes, spicy chilies, and savory sausage will infuse the dip with incredible flavors.

Heat and Melt

Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Set it on low and let the dip cook for about 1 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until hot and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve

Once the dip is heated and the cheese is melted, it's ready to be enjoyed. If desired, sprinkle chopped green onions on top for added freshness and color.
