Combine the Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of pumpkin puree, ½ cup of apple juice or cider, ½ cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg, and ¼ teaspoon ground cloves. Stir well to combine.

Simmer the Mixture

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
