COMBINE THE DOUGH

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and granulated sugar. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the milk mixture and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes foamy. Add the melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture and mix well. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.

KNEAD AND RISE

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it's smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more flour as needed. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

CREATE FILLING

In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until it forms a smooth paste. After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface, approximately 12x9 inches. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

ROLL AND CUT

Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Using a sharp knife or dental floss, cut the log into 6 equal-sized cinnamon rolls.

MAKE THE FROSTING

While the cinnamon rolls are cooking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to achieve your desired glaze consistency. Once the cinnamon rolls are done, remove them from the air fryer. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls.
