Hi there! I have the same question as Jan who was "unclear whether the Rotel, onion, and garlic should be blended using a blender..."

When you say to "Blend" them, do you mean with an immersion blender? It wouldn't be the first time one of your recipes calls for this... Do you mean to just combine the ingredients and then add the remaining ingredients to the pot?

Thank you so much for your patience, and wonderful books and recipes!

Urvashi -- we tried this for the first time tonight (actually, I cooked!) and we were both blown away. So simple, so flavorful. It was a piece of pork I pulled out of the depths of the chest freezer, so no real expectations. But, wow, this recipe pulled that pork back from the brink and made it spectacular! best, Steve

This stew is exceptionally good. It is one of the easiest recipes, ever. It was unclear whether the Rotel, onion and garlic should be blended using a blender, but I just stirred them together. I used Habanero Rotel and the full measure of 2 teaspoons of Chachere seasoning and the spice level has perfect for a good mouth tingle. I had a sirloin pork roast package from Costco and used about 2/3s of it. I would say this recipe ranks right up there with Butter Chicken!
